This project employed the use of RFID technology to detect a number of moving objects and to report as well as control other neighboring objects. The core detection method was through RFID chips and reader systems, however, in addition to this system, infrared technology was also employed as an added layer of detection. This information was collected locally by an embedded microcontroller circuit and then reported back to a central server which was running higher level control algorithms as well as providing the main user interface for the customer.
